Mediacom founder Shirin Abbas is a recipient of the prestigious UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office sponsored Chevening Scholarship for Young Indian Print Journalists , having trained at UK’s best Media Institute -- School of Communication, Design & Media, University of Westminster, London.
She has interned for a month at The Irish Times Dublin and attended a workshop on India-European Union Partnership in Brussels, as also represented India at an international seminar on Status & Role of Women in Tehran
Her association with the media dates back to over two decades in which she has written for all national dailies and many international publications like The Irish Times, Irish Independent, The Sunday Times, Khaleej Times, European tourism magazine Indes and many more.
